Well boy oh boy were we pleasantly surprised by The Manor. Firstly it is very lovely and picturesque - the hotel has a beautiful courtyard. Its in a very quite corner of the high street so is not too loud or over crowded. The rooms are fairly basic but they are clean and well kept.
Breakfast is included, and was delicious - I ordered eggs benedict and my partner, the fry up. Both meals were absolutely scrumptious, my partner even said it was miles better than a wetherspoons fry up for sure!
Peter, an older gentlemen who runs the b&b, was so kind and lovely - a real sweetheart. Staff are very attentive all the way, with Peter taking our breakfast order the night before and giving us directions.
Overall and amazing stay - Highly recommend. More

We stayed here as a family, 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. We had a ground floor family room with a double and two full size singles. The... read more room was warm and comfortable and we all slept well. The breakfast was amazing - full English, gorgeous bacon and perfectly cooked poached eggs. The two boys had bacon and sausage baps and scoffed them down with relish. The welcome was fantastic. Just before we arrived the host called us to check our arrival time, he then talked us through the one way system in the village to direct us to the walled back parking area. The gardens were full of promise (the time of year meant there were few flower but there were hosts of daffodils and tulips coming up), there was a large pond with fish - some big ones too! There were seating areas and I imagine it would be fabulous to sit out for a while in warmer times. I would definitely stay again should the need arise and wholeheartely recommend it. More
