The Manor
Exclusive use for a party of your own
What does this mean?
Exclusive use means that the Manor is yours for the period of your wedding from 1.00pm the day of your wedding to 11.00am the day after. This includes all external guest rooms, the garden room and gardens. Only you and your guests will be present during this time. Rooms will not usually be ready before 1.00pm. To guarantee early arrival we advise to book the night before.
What are the benefits?
The main attraction is that only you and your guests will have exclusive access to the Manor. This gives a feel of a real house party culminating in joining everyone for a great breakfast and talking through yesterdays events. It is only you who decides who can stay as you manage the rooming list. It is entirely your choice if you charge any guests (most do) for their rooms.
What happens if you do not buy exclusive use?
Exclusive use does not suit everyone. If you are not planning to invite more than 80 evening guests and do not need any accommodation then it is not necessary.
Do you have to buy exclusive use?
We request that all weddings booking for a Friday or a Saturday from 1 April to 31 Oct take exclusive use.
How Many rooms can be booked without exclusive use?
Depending on time of year, especially between March and November we have a large demand for rooms staying two and three nights. Because of this up to five rooms only will be made available for wedding guests for one night only. Without ex use the stables are not available.
How much does it cost?
Depending on when you come and what day it can cost from £1200 to £1850. This will cover up to 38 being accommodated with breakfast, this works out from as little as £32 per person.
When does this have to be paid?
Once you have signed the contract, all rooms are withdrawn from general sale and you will be asked for a 50% deposit. The balance is payable four weeks prior to the date.
What happens if you want to change your mind?
You can cancel exclusive use at any time in writing. We will release all rooms booked by you and offer them for general sale. We will reimburse you up to the level of your deposit or the level of revenue raised for the rooms whichever is the lower sum.
You would also lose the extra ground floor areas outside the Manor Hall as they will be used for other guests both resident and non resident.
How can this be booked?
As soon as you are sure this is for you and you let us know you wish to book this we will give you a price guide. We will draw up a contract for you and as soon as both parties have signed and the required deposit is paid all rooms for the date in question will be reserved for you.
It is worth noting that it is better to decide this sooner rather than later as our rooms get booked up well in advance and we can not cancel other people’s bookings once they have been made.
